Barend (Ben) Sahd

Ben obtained his B Compt (Hons) degree from the University of South Africa at the end of 1979. He completed his Training Contract with the then K.N. Paterson & Co. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant [CA (SA)] and Registered Assessor. He has been in Public Practice for over 45 years and has specialised in all spheres of Accounting, Auditing, Tax and Advisory.

Bens keeps very busy, with numerous business interests in various industries, including manufacture, retail and property development. Out of the office, he enjoys spending quality time with his wife, children and grandchildren. Their favourite retreat is the family farm near Bongolo Basin, where Ben keeps horses and cattle.

Alec Sahd

Alec obtained his Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting (PDA) at the University of Stellenbosch at the end of 2002. He completed his Training Contract with Metcalf, Sahd & Company. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant [CA (SA)] and Registered Auditor (RA). Alec specialises in Accounting, Auditing and Assurance, and has been in Public Practice for over 15 years.

A married father of three, Alec loves spending outdoor time with his family. Camping and hunting are much loved pastimes – and he won’t easily pass up the occasional round of golf.

Peter Sahd

Peter obtained his Bachelor of Accounting (Hons) degree at the University of Stellenbosch at the end of 2003. He completed his Training Contract with Metcalf, Sahd & Company. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant [CA (SA)], Registered Auditor (RA) and Registered Assessor. Peter has been in Public Practice for over 14 years and his primary focus area lies in Accounting and Special Investigations for the Legal Fraternity.

Peter is a proud father and enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter. When in need of some R & R, he is happiest on the tennis court, on the golf course, or with fishing rod in hand.

Elzette van Zyl

Elzette obtained her Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting (PDA) at the University of Stellenbosch at the end of 2003. She completed her Training Contract with Metcalf, Sahd & Company and has been in Public Practice for over 14 years. Elzette is a qualified Chartered Accountant [CA (SA)], Registered Auditor (RA) and Training Officer. Her focus areas at the firm are Accounting, Training of Trainee Accountants and Administration of Deceased Estates.

Outside of work, Elzette enjoys spending quality time with her husband and two children. She keeps her body and mind healthy with high energy exercise (spinning is a favourite) and creative colouring.

Heinrich de Kock

Heinrich obtained his Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting (PDA) from the University of South Africa. He completed his Training Contract with Metcalf, Sahd and Company. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant  [CA(SA)]. Heinrich has been in Public Practice for over 15 years, with his primary focus areas at the firm being Accounting and Auditing.

Out of the office, Heinrich enjoys spending quality time with his wife and son. He loves being outdoors and his hobbies include golf and fishing.
